What you can expect

Members get a reason to open your server every day. Streaks turn a one-off visit into a habit, and make-up check-ins forgive the occasional missed day so people don't give up.

How to set it up

  1. In the dashboard, go to Tasks and create a task with the Check in action.

  2. Set it to reset daily and choose the Streak reward style.

  3. Set a base reward and a streak bonus with a sensible cap.

  4. Turn on make-up check-ins and give them a price in points.

  5. Publish it to a channel or category panel members can see.

TIPS & VARIANTS

Tips, plus a few variants.

  • Tips

    • Cap the streak bonus so long-time members don't outpace everyone else.
    • Charge points for make-up check-ins — it forgives mistakes and gives points a use.
    • Quick Setup can create this task for you in a few clicks.

  • Variations

    • Give a role at a 30-day streak to make long streaks visible.
    • Limit check-ins to a #study-log channel for learning communities.
