What Discord permissions do I need?
Whoever installs it needs the Manage Server permission. The official bot never asks for Administrator, only what it needs to run, such as sending messages, embedding links and managing roles. Signing in to the dashboard only reads your Discord identity and server list.
Does it read our chat?
No. Engagerly does not enable the Message Content intent or store message content; message tasks only count message events.
Will it spam my channels?
Task cards only post in the channel you choose, and replies to check-ins, claims and rank checks are visible only to that member. Drop messages can also delete themselves when they end (Premium+).
Do members need to leave Discord? What can they do with points?
No. Tasks, rewards, leaderboards and events all happen in Discord; X / Bluesky tasks are done on that platform and then verified back in Discord. Points can be spent in the shop, on giveaway tickets, in mini-games, or sent to other members.
Can it run alongside my current leveling or giveaway bot?
Yes. Each bot’s commands are separate in Discord, and Engagerly only handles its own tasks, points and panels. If another bot also gives XP for messages, keep one set of level rules so members do not earn double rewards or wonder which one counts.
Is it a subscription? What are the free plan limits?
No subscription. Premium and Ultimate are one-time, per-server passes for 30 days, 365 days or lifetime, and renew only if you turn on auto-renew. The free plan never expires; its limits are quotas such as 3 tasks, 1 currency and overview-only analytics.
